Preliminary Work

BLACKMAIL ORIGINAL SCRIPT

Setting: a typical school computer suite. Mr. Price is sitting at a desk opposite Sarah a female student who attends the school, they are in the middle of a conversation. While this is happening, another student, Brian, is watching through the door suspiciously.

Mr. Price:

                  I’m sorry Sarah but I don’t see how this is going to work

Sarah:

No one will find out It will be fine

Mr. Price:

It’s way too risky, I could lose my job over this

Sarah:

But...

Mr. Price:

(Cutting in with raised voice)

No Sarah, it has to stop right now !

 (Pause)

Mr. Price picks up the pieces of paper on the next table and analyses it. He sighs deeply.

Mr. Price:

Here’s your essay, I wanna hear no more about this okay?

Sarah nods and rises from her seat

Mr. Price:

Alright then, off you go

Sarah walks out of the classroom to find Brian waiting outside the door, she walks into him by accident and drops her bag. She franticly picks up all of her belongings and runs away, leaving a letter on the ground. Brian picks up the letter and reads it. He then angrily walks into the classroom.

This is our original script which we didn't completely stick to as we thought improvising would make the scenes feel more naturalistic. We also added another scene so that the plot could tie together and can be seen in the video above.


Story Board

Brian looking through the classroom  door at Mr. Price and Sarah (who are off screen) This is a medium shot.

Here we have a cut-in shot of Mr. Price and Sarah who are currently in love. This is a medium two shot.

The conversation then leads to Mr.Price trying to explain to Sarah that they have to stop meeting as they could get caught and his job will be in danger.
This is still a medium two shot.

Here we have a long shot of Brian in the corridor bursting through the doors in anger. The shot cuts into the class where brian confronts Mr price

Here we have medium shots which cut back from Brian and Mr. Price, Brian then tries to blackmail his teacher who could potentially lose his job.
